Monthly Badge Introduction
Every month, a set of exciting new badges will be introduced. To earn a badge, members will need to complete the specific requirements for that badge. The activities are carefully selected to provide a well-rounded and enriching experience.
Exclusive Access to Resources
Members will have exclusive access to a range of resources designed to support them in completing their badge requirements. These resources will be available online and will include guides, activities, and tips to make the badge journey easier and more enjoyable.
Meetups & Events
Throughout the year - most likely on Sundays - we will be running special in-person meetups for different badge requirements. These meetups are a fantastic opportunity for members to work together, share ideas, and learn new skills in a supportive and fun environment. Invitations to these events will be sent regularly, ensuring that everyone has the chance to join in.
Track Progress via Our Online Platform
Members will be invited to join our online platform, where they can track their badge progress and access all upcoming events and meetups. This platform will help children stay on top of their achievements and stay motivated to complete their badge requirements. Parents and children can easily monitor progress, while members can also see the next steps to keep moving forward.
Flexibility for Home Learning
We understand that life can get busy, and not all members will be able to attend every in-person meetup. That's why our scheme is designed with flexibility in mind. If a child cannot attend a session, they can still complete the badge requirements at home. Once they've completed the tasks, they can submit proof online to track their progress. Alternatively, they can wait for the requirement meet to be rerun at a later meetup during the year. This flexibility means that children from outside our main area can also participate and earn badges from anywhere.
Age Group Participation
Our badge scheme is designed to be inclusive and engaging for all age groups, ensuring that everyone has the opportunity to participate and grow.
5 and under: Dedicated time is set aside for them in each session, typically around 12.45pm, where they will enjoy age-appropriate activities related to the current badge theme.
Ages 6-11: Most activities will be conducted together for this group whenever possible.
Ages 12+: Sessions will be tailored to older participants, offering more advanced and interactive activities.
Parental Involvement & Attendance Guidelines
Boys are welcome to attend in-person sessions up to age 8. After that, they can continue to participate by completing badge requirements at home or within their own groups.
Girls of all ages are invited to attend in-person sessions and meetups, ensuring they can fully engage with the badge system and benefit from the community experience.
Children 6 and above can stay without guardians for the duration of the meet only.
This structure ensures that every child, regardless of age, has a meaningful and enriching experience while maintaining a safe and supportive environment.
Annual Badge Presentation
At the end of the year, we will celebrate the achievements of all members with an annual gathering. During this special event, badges will be officially presented to all participants who have successfully completed the requirements. This gathering is a wonderful opportunity to honour each explorer's hard work, reflect on the year’s achievements, and share in the joy of progress and success.
A Badge Scheme for All Ages
Our badge scheme is designed to be inclusive, with activities and requirements tailored to suit all age groups. Whether you're a young child just starting the program or an older participant looking to develop new skills, there is something for everyone.
At Al-Kawākib Explorers, we aim to create a nurturing and dynamic environment where members can grow, learn, and be inspired by one another. The badge system is a fun and flexible way to help participants build confidence, knowledge, strong connections with their faith and a great alternative to scouts. We look forward to welcoming all explorers on this exciting journey!
